Bailout: Big decisions are not best made while in a panic

The Bush Administration’s proposed $700 billion bailout could be the most important economic decision in decades – with consequences possibly lasting generations.  Let’s not let the “we have to do something” mentality drive us to a bad decision.

Even most conservatives are opposed the Bush plan. It makes no sense to give Paulson, or anyone, such a vast sum of taxpayer money under the terms they are asking for: No review by congress. No legal review. No accountability at all.

I guess it’s what this administration has been working towards all along: Zero transparency. Zero accountability. Zero responsibility.

Isn’t that what got us into this mess in the first place?
