I have said before that I thought Etel (the O’Reilly Emerging Telephony Conference) was the most cutting-edge VoIP-related conference on the calendar. I had the honor of speaking there twice. Unfortunately O’Reilly, decided to cancel the conference for 2008.
Lee Dryburgh, who was heavily involved in the Etel conference, jumped in to save the day for us by putting together, with help from many of the ex-Etel community, effectively “Etel 2.0” in the form of the new Emerging Communications Conference, or eComm 2008.
The Emerging Communications (eComm) Conference 2008 will be held at the (excellent) Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley March 12 to March 14. See http://www.ecommmedia.com/
There’s a terrific speaker list and conference agenda. Few events provide an opportunity like this to hear from and meet so many forward thinking and articulate people together in one place. I won’t miss my chance. Thanks, Lee, for keeping the momentum that started with Etel alive with eComm.
