SBC to acquire ATT?

WSJ reports:

SBC effectively agreed to acquire AT&T for roughly $16 billion in shares and cash, people familiar with the situation say. The move still has to be approved by the boards of both companies and votes are scheduled for Sunday afternoon and evening.
