Gary Lawrence Murphy over at TeledyN asks:
do you suppose perchance there might be some viable legal process to bring a charge of “aiding, abetting and financing criminal activities” whereby we might arrest and criminally prosecute people for using Windows?
While this sounds good emotionally, I think the reality is that for the most part, ordinary users don’t have a choice but to use MS Windows. That’s all anyone told them about, most likely, and perhaps it’s all they even knew existed. It was the only choice at work and the only choice on the shelves at the local Circuit City. On the other hand, maybe throwing a few users in jail for using Windows would be the needed catalyst for change. We can dream can’t we?
