"The blog is named in honor of a TV ad jingle for a certain Chinese fast-food chain here in the San Francisco Bay area, particularly well-known in the Silicon Valley. It was also originally meant as a good-natured jab at the blog craze at the turn of the 21st century and an ironic exaggeration of the ego-centric blog names common at the time."

Using Sprint 1xRTT Service with Zaurus

I now have the Sprint 2.5G data service working with my Zaurus Linux PDA. Even though the service is really too expensive, I have to admit it is pretty cool on the Zaurus. I put up a wiki page with some downloads, screenshots, and more photos: http://www.toyz.org/cgi-bin/wiki.cgi?Sprint1xRTTZaurus

In the a nutshell, the service offers fairly good download speeds over a wireless connection. I was able to successfully ssh to the Zaurus while connected with the Sprint service; it had lags, but could be used in a pinch, and at least shows that regular two-way IP traffic can flow over the connection.
