Hecklebot prototype done

Nothing new here in the last few days because I have been busy working on a Hecklebot prototype as shown in the photo above. I’ve got a first version done. It’s a stand-alone system that is an IRC bot that allows audience members to send comments to speakers at a conference from IRC. The comments appear on the LED display that would be positioned facing the speaker.

Personally, I’m not sure I’d like idea of being distracted in this way, if I were the speaker, but hey, welcome to the 21st century! I’l be curious to learn how it works out in practice.
