The Danville Parade

Ok, it’s getting ridiculous. My little town is full of people who are full of themselves. There are <a href=”http://www.bayarea.com/mld/cctimes/6233860.htm”>chair wars</a> now over the best seating for the 4th of July parade. The parade is a big deal here, but who are these people to think they are so special? They think they can claim a spot of turf in front of a public street with some kind of legitimacy? This parade started a long time ago. It reflected the nature of the area, then a rural farming community. Now the fighting on the sidewalks seems to be a better reflection of Danville’s people, with the parade itself only a side-bar. Maybe these people should just try standing for a change.
